Watching an Old Western Movie
Rock Hudson and his one partner were chasing the robber gang and stopped in town after town trying to get a posse together to help them with no success. In this one town an Indian man followed and tried to kill them, but they stopped him and had a talk. They found out the Indian man’s wife was kidnapped in a raid and left in the desert to die so he was trying to get revenge because Rock’s partner was part of the raid. The partner explained that he had tried to stop the raid, so the Indian decided to join them in going after the robbers.
I was criticizing the movie, “That woman would not look so fresh and pretty after riding through the desert for days. She would be all sweaty and her hair would be all straggly.”
Ish recognized one scene where the movie was filmed as part of Arizona where he lost the key. We laughed and then I pointed out that the Indian only wore one eagle feather in his hair. Ish said, “He’s a private”. We laughed some more.
Then a commercial came on so Ish told me he had pulled up the tapioca tree because it wasn’t giving any shade and it had come up dry roots and all.
That’s what happens if you don’t water a tree.
I jokingly said, “We should save the roots and cook them up for tapioca”.
Ish grumbled, “Why should we go through all that trouble when we can buy it in the store?”
I said, “In case of a zombie apocalypse we can live off the land.”
Ish retorted smiling, “If that happens, I’ll be the zombie and just eat brains.”
“Yes, you’ll be dragging your rotting feet moaning ‘brains.’”
Tomorrow I’ll buy some apple cider vinegar to soak my feet.
